I can’t believe my sweet baby Cabot is 4 weeks old already 💙 Out of all of the newborn sessions I’ve photographed over the years, this one is my favorite! Thanks to my mom and Jordan, my newborn session dreams came true!

About this time a week ago, we welcomed our sweet little baby boy into the world! After 24 hours of exhausting labor, Cabot River Griggs made his grand entrance. He was born at home weighing 7lbs 14 oz and 21 inches long. And now I finally understand what it's like to love something more than I thought possible. Jordan and I have had some great adventures in our 12 years together but I know nothing will compare to this one! #cabotgriggs

6 months down, 4 to go to meet our little nugget! Still so crazy there is a little baby growing in there 🥰 Feeling him kick has been just the coolest. I can’t wait to snuggle him 💙

I feel like we bought a new house 😂 We have bee

I feel like we bought a new house 😂 We have been doing projects in over drive during quarantine! Painting the house white was pretty low on the list but we knew if we didn’t do it now, it would be even further down on the list once we adopt because it’s such a big project.
I’ve always wanted a white brick house and I’m so so so in love with ours now!
We also overhauled the landscaping. We kept it simple. The landscaping has been ignored for a long time but there were a ton of really great mature plants, just very oddly placed. So we dug up everything and reused most it, added a few new plants, and mulch!
I wouldn’t say I enjoyed every part of this DIY project but it sure was worth the effort 💪 thanks babe for tackling it with me! @thedapperdrive #griggsfixerupper

Mother's Day felt a lot different this year. Nope,

Mother's Day felt a lot different this year. Nope, we aren't pregnant and we don't have any kiddos in our home...yet! But my heart definitely belongs to some amazingly special kiddos that we are in the processing of adopting. ⁠⠀
⁠⠀
I'm not gonna lie though, it's a really strange place to sit in on Mother's Day knowing you want to be someone's mama. You feel like God has guided every one of your steps to get here. Your whole heart feels different because of them. You look at life different and think about how to make your home a better fit for them. Yet, they live somewhere else and there's still a lot of legal steps to get through. ⁠⠀

BUT GOD!⁠⠀

This Mother's Day I'm thankful for the opportunity to love these kids in this season and I just hope and pray it is for a lifetime. We have one INCREDIBLE story to share with y'all one day. God has seriously moved mountains. He's been in the details for a very long time and we didn't even know it. It makes me ugly cry every time I think about it.⁠⠀

I am especially thankful for the mamas in my life that made me celebrate the fact that I am a mama in my heart no matter what! God really blessed me with some very very special people that I'm going to be leaning on a ton in this next season.⁠⠀

To my mom, thank you for showing me how to be a great mom! You know I'm going to call you a million times and ask you what to do or how to cook something or how to make them stop fighting!⁠⠀
⁠⠀
And to all the foster moms, THANK YOU for what you do. For pouring into children that won't be with you forever. For showing them love, safety, consistency, patience, and what real family can look like. You are true angels here on earth.⁠⠀

Happy Easter! So thankful for the resurrection and

Happy Easter! So thankful for the resurrection and the hope it brings to our world, especially now. It was hard not to go to our physical church this morning but I was reminded that no matter where we are, WE ARE THE CHURCH. I’m so thankful for His love and grace and life. The tomb is empty and that is what we are celebrating today! #heisrisen #easter
