Sunrise farm love shoot

This is one of my very favorite sessions to date for many reasons.

1. The first and obvious reason is this is my GORGEOUS best friend and her husband of 3 years.
2. We did their shoot in the country which I so dearly miss living in NYC!
3. They agreed to do their session at sunrise with the amazing light. I love shooting when the sun comes up and when it’s going down.
4. They wanted to include their dogs for their family love shoot! They rescued Randolph and Mabel from shelters in South Carolina after they were married.
5. These two are just awesome and so easy to photograph 🙂

Melissa and Shawn got married when we graduated college and haven’t taken pictures since their wedding. It was so fun photographing them. The way they interacted, you would think they just started dating. Hard to believe they’ve been married for 3 years.

I scouted a great location when I was back home in South Carolina with lots of fields, fences, barns and cars overgrown with weeds. Sounds like the perfect setup for a photo shoot to me!  It was so country chic with Melissa in pinks and coral and their cowboy boots! I couldn’t have asked for a better love session <3
