Thanksgiving Day surprise! Turkey and wedding bells

Today I am thankful for so many things. I am blessed to be able to visit home (South Carolina) and share this time with my family and friends. I always miss them so much ESPECIALLY their southern cooking! It’s just not the same when I make it in NYC or, at least, attempt too. I’m not the best chef but I can wash the heck out of some clothes 😛

Thanksgiving this year is particularly special. My mom is getting married! My mom and her fiancé are really simple people so they surprised us all a few weeks ago and told us they would be getting married while the whole family was in town for Thanksgiving. It is a small, intimate wedding that we will be celebrating with lots of turkey and spiked eggnog afterwards. I am so excited to capture such a special day for my mom.  She has been such a supportive, loving and encouraging person in my life and I couldn’t be happier for her and her fiancé. Here’s to many more Thanksgivings of blessings, love and TURKEY!!
